i published my first article in a professional publication and felt it only right that it forever have a place here. https://qcnerve.com/a-poet-named-superman-charlotte/

For the last few months, I have been spending the majority of my Wednesday nights at Red@28th, a multicultural literary lounge located in the Dilworth area of Charlotte for Release Therapy hosted by A Poet Named Superman. He is the founder and curator of the open mic night which was established in 2016, recently celebrating 8 years in February.
It always astonished me how humble he was, how welcoming the environment was, and how Red@28th was the perfect home for the open mic. A "melting pot" of sorts, release therapy encouraged me to start writing again and the confidence to share it.
Join me as i sit down with A Poet Named Superman, his colleage DJ Bezzie Beats, owner of Red@28th Jaz Vincent and Rapunzel, a lovely poet.
Special thank you to Malcolm Beamon of MPower Productions for the photos and to Queen City Nerve for picking up my story.
Release Therapy is hosted every Wednesday at Red@28th with a writers workshop starting at 7 pm and the open mic following immediately after.
Would love to see you there <3
